Engineered by membrane filtration specialists, Membracon’s advanced reverse osmosis water filtration systems deliver high‑purity clean water for industrial wastewater recycling, effluent plants and desalination. Using high‑rejection reverse osmosis membranes, our solutions serve demanding sectors such as:
Membracon delivers a full, bespoke design‑and‑build of reverse osmosis membrane systems matched to every customer’s exact duty. A comprehensive service & maintenance package, plus tailored financing or rental options, completes the lifecycle.
A reverse osmosis water filtration system produces pure water by forcing raw water through a semi‑permeable reverse osmosis membrane under hydrostatic pressure greater than the natural osmotic pressure. The process flows in the opposite direction of normal osmosis, effectively concentrating contaminants on one side while delivering clean permeate on the other.
RO water filtration is deployed across a wide range of applications, including seawater desalination and the production of demineralised water for component rinse systems prior to coating. Because the reverse osmosis membrane rejects 99.9% of bacteria, it is also the foundation of pharmaceutical pure water generation.
Membracon supplies a complete range of reverse osmosis plants and replacement RO water membranes, backed by pretreatment equipment such as softeners, activated carbon filters and multi-media filters. From compact single‑RO units rated at 150 l/h up to high‑capacity systems handling 50,000 l/h, every installation is supported by the necessary pre and post‑treatment – filters, storage tanks and interconnecting pipework.
The heart of any reverse osmosis water filtration system is the reverse osmosis membrane assembly. A pressure vessel houses the membrane, which must withstand the full applied hydrostatic pressure. Feedwater is pressed against the membrane surface – contaminants are rejected while pure water permeates through.
Membracon stocks reverse osmosis membranes in the two most prevalent configurations:
RO water membranes and housings are available in a range of diameters: 1.8”, 2.5”, 4” and 8”. We hold a wide inventory of spares for all major types of reverse osmosis membrane elements and pressure vessels, ensuring minimal downtime.
These Membranes come in a variety of sizes including 1.8”, 2.5” 4” & 8”
We offer a wide range of spares for all types of reverse osmosis membranes and housings.
Drawing on decades of automotive surface treatment heritage, Membracon has engineered a combined ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis process specifically for parts washer wastewater recycling. By pre‑treating oily wash water with UF and then polishing it through high‑rejection reverse osmosis membranes, manufacturers can recycle up to 98% of their wash water, slash disposal costs and meet stringent discharge consents. This parts washer wastewater recycling UF RO approach is proven in automotive OEM and tier‑1 paint lines, but it delivers the same value in aerospace, metal finishing and general engineering.

Reverse osmosis is a specialised, membrane‑based filtration process that removes dissolved salts, organics and 99.9% of bacteria (far beyond what conventional media or carbon filters can achieve). For applications demanding the highest purity, reverse osmosis water filtration is unequivocally the superior technology.
A reverse osmosis membrane is a thin‑film composite or cellulose‑based barrier that permits water to pass while rejecting up to 99.9% of dissolved ions, bacteria and organic matter. It is the defining component of every RO water filtration system, and Membracon supplies bespoke and standard replacement reverse osmosis membranes for all major vessel sizes.
Pressurised feed water is applied to one side of the reverse osmosis membrane. Pure water molecules permeate through the membrane against the natural osmotic gradient, while concentrated salts, particles and bacteria are continuously flushed away. The result is clean industrial or potable water without the need for chemical regenerants.
An RO water membrane is a semi‑permeable rejection layer engineered to exclude dissolved solids under pressure. Manufactured in spiral‑wound or hollow‑fibre form and sized from 1.8” to 8”, it is the consumable core of any reverse osmosis system. Membracon provides genuine replacement RO water membranes and complete pressure vessel assemblies.
